It’s always a pleasure to go for a walk on the beach in the morning. Even a cold winter morning on Gooseberry Island, near Horseneck Beach, MA. The early morning light reflects off the ocean, and the sound of the surf and occasional seagull is thoroughly relaxing.
Aside from people walking on the beach, there are always a variety of shorebirds, including gulls, plovers, hawks, and the occasional snowy white owl. With people, there are also frequently dogs enjoying the water no matter how cold it might be. In warmer months, seals often rest on rocks along the shore.
