Annual Moby Dick Marathon Reading

The annual Moby Dick Marathon returned to the New Bedford Whaling Museum, following a two-year “virtual” hiatus. The marathon is an annual celebration marking Herman Melville’s 1841 departure from the Port of New Bedford aboard the whaleship Acushnet. The weekend event features a 25-hour reading by scholars, students, fishermen and community leaders. My First New Hampshire Primary

The New Hampshire primary is still pretty unique. It’s full of hope (not too many candidates have been eliminated yet) and chaos (multiple events happening concurrently all around the state). Some are small, town-hall style events, where you can really get up close to the candidate. Others are large gatherings in auditoriums or arenas. A Gothic & Lolita Tea Service

All I knew about the event I was scheduled to photograph was that it was a tea service at Blithewold Mansion and Gardens in Bristol, RI. And that most of the guests would be in costume. Blithewold is a beautiful place to photograph, and I had photographed other events there, but I knew nothing of the group attending this event.
