The final stop of our “Portugal with Pete” tour was the island of San Miguel in the Azores. Part of an archipelago of nine volcanic islands, San Miguel enjoys a very mild, subtropical climate. We travelled by small bus around the island, taking in the spectacular scenery, and stopping at the occasional small town or village to take in our next meal. What better opportunity to combine sightseeing with photography than joining a ten-day “Photo Tour of Portugal with Pete Souza”. About twenty travelling paparazzi joined former White House photographer Pete Souza on a trip that included stops in Porto, Lisbon, and San Miguel.
