Photography for a Cause

A significant portion of my photography involves providing support for charitable organizations and non-profits. I like to help charitable groups by providing images that they can use to tell their story, publicize their activities, or recruit volunteers. Some of these groups use photography on their websites to promote their mission and attract donations. Others are looking for images to use in their social media efforts to publicize their activities. Each of them offer unique challenges. Below are samples of work I provided to three different organizations.

Buzzards Bay Coalition

The Buzzards Bay Coalition focuses on protecting the watershed areas surrounding Buzzards Bay in southeast Massachusetts. They do so by offering educational programs and managing nature preserves throughout the area. Challenge: how to provide images that make you interested in educational events and nature walks.

YMCA Full Plate Project

The Full Plate Project is a partnership between the Southcoast YMCA and the Greater Boston Foodbank to combat food insecurity in SE Massachusetts. The group relies on a network of volunteers to collect, pack and distribute food to hundreds of families every week. Challenge: how to get people interested in packing bags and loading trunks.
