Boston Reemerges in Spring, 2021

After months spent indoors, behind masks, and in relative isolation, people were anxious to get back outside this Spring. As the weather began to warm-up in April and May, people took to the streets and sidewalks to enjoy being outside and around other people. Some ventured with caution, still wearing masks and maintaining their distance. As vaccinations increased, and guidelines relaxed, it started to feel almost normal again. The Lush Landscapes of San Miguel

The final stop of our “Portugal with Pete” tour was the island of San Miguel in the Azores. Part of an archipelago of nine volcanic islands, San Miguel enjoys a very mild, subtropical climate. We travelled by small bus around the island, taking in the spectacular scenery, and stopping at the occasional small town or village to take in our next meal. Lisbon Flea Market

It sure isn’t much like the local shopping mall! When we arrived at the flea market in Lisbon, it was late morning, and the crowds were already streaming their way past booths set-up by vendors from all over. Street Scenes From Porto

What better opportunity to combine sightseeing with photography than joining a ten-day “Photo Tour of Portugal with Pete Souza”. About twenty travelling paparazzi joined former White House photographer Pete Souza on a trip that included stops in Porto, Lisbon, and San Miguel.
